Faye's 3rd birthday.

Our little Faye turned 3 on Jan.28. I can't believe how big she is. It really seems like I just brought her home from the hospital yesterday and now she is 3. My little girly girl loves to dance, she likes to dress up in any thing from a princess dress to a witches costume, she also likes to pretend she is one of the step sisters from Cinderella, often telling me to call her Anastasia or Drizella. She is a very independent 3 year old. She always likes to try new foods. I love that about her. We love having her in our family, she sure keeps things interesting around our house. She brought many big blessings to our family when she was born. We love her and thank Heavenly Father for our little Princess.

We celebrated her birthday on the 28th, just us. I made her a cake and we gave her a strawberry shortcake doll, that she loved. Then 2 weeks later we had a little party for her with some friends. She was so excited about her party. I started preparing everything the night before. I was actually really excited about making her cake, but It didn't turn out the way I wanted. It was still pretty good and she loved it and thats what counts. We had so much fun and I immediately asked her and Alan what kind of party they would like for next year. I can't wait to plan it. I just really like decorating the cakes, even if they cause me the biggest stress. I love them and would do anything for them.

December

I know, I know, but better late than never. In December we had a lot of celebrations, all together. We celebrated our 8th anniversary, and we also celebrated Alan's birthday, which is really in Nov. but we decided to wait. We also blessed Alexis, so we did it all on the same day. We don't have family close by, but we are blessed to have friends who care about us and our kids and drove from Logan, Riverton and Tooele to help us with the blessing and to celebrate Alan's birthday. This day started at around 6:00am. I decided to make Alans cake. Now I know why cakes cost so much. Althoug this cake is nothing compared to professional cakes. It took me about 3hrs. to decorate the thing. I'm just glad I baked it the night before. I had everything ready, or so I thought, then I looked for my icing colors and one was missing, so I had to run to Walmart at that time, just glad its opne 24hrs. After I finished it was time to get the food ready and packed and as always we got there late. And to make us look even worst our friends got there first and had to wait for us, so sorry. Any way, we blessed Alexis, Marco said she gave him a big smile when he was done. She looked so cute, and then we had some really good food and conversation with friends. Alan had a few friends over and he was so happy. Thank you veryone for coming. Having you here made it all even more special. Also Faye got her second hair cut. She had her first in the summer, but someone took both cameras to work and I had nothing to document the moment with. She looked so grown up in the chair and she did a really good job sitting still. We also celebrated Christmas, just the 5 of us, had to think and cound for a minute. I can't believe we have been here for a year already.

September

Well I know that September is gone and October is almost gone too, but I have had no time. Alan started school the first week of September and he was so excited. We have been busy with homework every day since. For those of you who didn't know we had another baby. She arrived on the 13th and is not the great sleeper that Faye was but I know that it won't last forever, so I look forward to the day when she'll bee sleeping all night. We named her Alexis Claire. She's 6 weeks old today and has the biggest cheeks ever. Alan and Faye are so in love with their new little sister and well, so are we. This pregnancy went by so fast that Im still trying to get used to the fact that we have another baby in the house. I had a lot of help, my sister was able to come for about 2 weeks. I was totally surprised, I have the best husband, he planned the whole thing after my sister told me that she couldn't come and they surprised me at the hospital and Marco's mom came two weeks later and just left last week so we are now on our own, sacary. We are doing ok, running around in the morning getting everyone ready and in the car just to take Alan to school and then again at noon. I'm sure it will all get better with time, but for now things are just too crazy around here. If you look at the first picture and go to my post about Faye's 1st birthday you can see if these girls look alike, what do you think?

Daddy's Birthday and two front teeth.

So last week was Marco's birthday and we decided to surprise him at work with some balloons and one of those big cookie cakes. We ran around all morning trying to buy all his surprises and then we finally headed to his office, which I had never been to before. We wanted to totally surprise him and go upstairs but apparently that place is like the White House, you need some sort of security clearance to get in. So, because no one that he works with that I new their names was there at that time, we had to call him to come down to the front desk. I like to think that it was still a nice surprise. After that we headed to McDonald's where Alan and Faye played for a while and then we headed home. While I was in my room Alan came running and screaming "mom look it, my tooth fell off" and a week later the next tooth was gone too. I can't believe I have and almost 6 year old, who just lost his first 2 teeth. Time goes by way too fast.

I'm a big kid now!!

So its actually been about 2 or 3 months now but my little Faye Faye is all potty trained now. It took some pushing but the girl was ready. It just had to be her idea and as soon as she did it once she just kept doing it. We are all so proud of her. Even Alan was a big help, cheering for her. Love you mama!!

Pony Rides @ Gardeners Village

About a month ago we decided to take the kids to one of my favorite villages, Gardeners Village. It brings back memories of when I was pregnant with Faye and now she's 2. We got there and walked over to the the petting zoo, as soon as he saw the animals Alan said " I remember this place, you brought me here". I can't believe he remembered, it was like 3 years ago. They had so much fun riding the ponies and petting the animals. I had a blast shopping, window shopping anyway, we had just gone on a big shopping trip to Park City that week. Any way, the day was beautiful and it was nice to get out and see the kids run around.
