Our Big News!!

A few weeks ago I posted about Thanksgiving and Big news. Well here is the Big news. About 3 weeks before Thanksgiving Marco had an interview for a job (which was an internship in the summer), well, he got it. He was also about to graduate. He got the job, found out just a week before Thanksgiving, graduated about 2 weeks after that. Yes he is finally done with school, for now.

So we got our Christmas gift way before Christmas. Marco has been in school for a long time, and even though I knew he would graduate, I never really knew how long it would take. Now, graduation was a very important thing for us. In our culture, unfortunately, not many people even graduate high school, so it was a very Big deal for us to have him graduate from a university. With his graduationg came change, the job, which is a great job, and a new place to live. We are living in Taylorsville, have been for about a week. The Monday after graduation, we came down to look for apartments. Found one on Tuesday and moved in by Friday. Didn't really get to say good bye. We will miss our dear Logan and the many great people we met. I love how safe I always felt living in Aggie Village. But I know that the Lord has something new for us to do and learn.

At this time of year I stop to think how much my Father loves my family and how much harder we have to work to thank Him for the many blessing we have received. How much He loved us that He gave His son to the world. In a time when things are so hard, we are some of the lucky ones. Its our turn to help others. I'm greatful for that too.
May the Lord bless each end every one of you and your families.

Congrats to my hubby!! I'm so proud of you!!! I always knew you could do it. I love you!!

Thanksgiving and Big news!!

Well our Thanksgiving was great, just us. Just our little family. I have so much to be thankful for. I have 2 healthy and wonderful kids. I learn so much from them. I always say that kids come to this world, and we are the ones to teach them all the things they need to know to return home. Well, in my family, my kids teach me. They are a great example to me. They are quick to forgive and forget. I wish I was more like them. I have a hard working, patient husband. He does so much for us, sometimes, on only a couple hours of sleep. Thank you for not giving up. Thank you for being so patient with me, even when I'm not patient with you. Thank you for making things work so I can stay at home with our kids. I am so proud of you, you have no idea what you mean to me.

Our big news, well, you'll just have to wait a few more weeks. Its so exciting, I know many people go through this but, I'm just so happy. Especially because many, said it would never happen. All I have to say to that is ( well I can't say what I really want to say but,) in your face!

My little helper.

I love it when kids want to help. Alan always wants to help wash dishes, but since its kind of messy I just let him rinse. Here he is my little helper. Thanks buddy!!

Where's Faye?

I got this basket a long time ago and the liner that came with it is now gone. The kids love to take all the animals out and play with them. Faye, however, loves to sit in it herself. So this is what we saw when they were playing the other day.See if you can find her.

Holloween

Halloween was great this year. We carved pumpkins a few days before. Notice Alans face, he wasn't too sure about removing the seeds. Faye felt the same way so we put some seeds infront of her and she was content to just look at them. Saturday morning we went trick or treating down main street. We were exhausted by the end. Maybe next year it will be better, since Faye will be almost 3. I was by my self (Marco was in D.C.) and getting her in and out of the stroller was too much. Luckily not every store was giving out candy. That night after Marco came home we took the kids out. Alan was so tired from that morning (he wouldn't take a nap) that after 2 blocks or so he wanted to go home, but we kept going. Faye was done after a block, then she sat in her stroller the rest of the time and I had to collect candy for her. Some people gave me funny looks, so I had to explain to them that I had another child in the stroller. I think we were done by 8 or 9, came home, had dinner and went to bed. Can't wait till next year, I'm already thinking of what costumes we can have. Hope everybody had fun. Now to gain a few pounds with all that candy, well, I can't let my kids eat them all, they'll get tummy aches.

So I have not blogged for a while, because I really have no time. A few minutes ago I came across a friend's blog and this is definitely worth my time. Here is the story I found. Please take some time and help spread the word.
Share the LOVE
I have the greatest friends in the world, I learn so much from each and every one of them. They inspire me to do better, they lift me up when I am down, and I can't imagine my friends not being a part of my life. I am sooooo blessed!
My great friend Kylene has always been an inspiring friend of mine! I love her dearly! She has put together a fundraiser for the Abbott family. Many of you have probably come across this story all ready, the blogging world has helped spread the story so quickly. The Abbott family's daughter, Taylie, has Leukemia, and Kylene has found a generous man to help donate money to this family. All you have to do is spread the word, and every person that posts a link about Taylie to their blog or facebook page, the sponser will donate $2.00 for every post out there. Come on everyone out there, help this family raise money for their sweet little girl. Every dollar will help!
Here's all you have to do:Link Taylie's website on your blog with any message that you'd like to about inspiring and helping each other. Then make sure to leave a link to Kylene's blog so people know where to go to enter their information, go to Kylene's blog and let her know you have linked Talie's blog to your blog, that way she knows the money pot is growing...remember each link is worth $2.00.
Not only will you be helping a sweet family Kylene will enter you into a drawing for a PRADA purse....okay men....remember you can be a part of this too, and what wife wouldn't love a new purse for Christmas??!!After this weekend they will count up all the comments on Kylene's blog, and hopefully a BIG check will be written out to the Abbott family!Spread the love!

Our summer

I had this post waiting begause I coudn't figuere out how to post the pictures from our laptop but I got it. So here is what happened in the summer. It was the end of May and Alan broke his arm. He had a cast for about a month.and then it came off. We drove down to Ogden on Memorial day and took the kids to the train station or what ever that place is. Not much happened in June, except for all the rain. The 4th was great, just hanging with the fam., made some quilts for the kids to watch the fireworks, went swimming and that's that. The pictures are not the best, but thats all I can do.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

So today I celebrated my 29th birthday. I went to the movies with my husband, we watched the new XMen movie, I liked it, when we got out he told me that he didn't really like the movie, but he always does that and he is usually the one that picks the movie. I have a great husband, we had one of our friends babysit at our place. Since it was my birthday, a few friends, who are more like my little sisters, had invited me to go to the movies, things got a little complicated when one of the girls found out that she had to work, so, the only spot opened for us to go was right after the XMen movie. Well, like I said, I have a great husband, after our movie, he rushed home so Mari (our babysitter) could speed her way to the theater. We watched Ghost of Girlfriends Past. I loved it, but I don't think it was so much the movie, as much as being able to spend time with my friends. After I got home, we went driving around trying to find Bride Wars, which I still can't find, and finally we went to eat at Cafe Sabor, our diner ended up being free. I think, its because one of the waiters dropped some cups and ice went flying all over the place and we got a little wet, oh well, I guess we'll never know the real reason. I think movies and free diner were pretty good for a birthday. Of course I can't forget about my beautiful little family. I thank Heavenly Father for all he has given me. My hard working husband, my beautiful kids, my awesome friends, who always remember my b-day even if I don't always remember theirs. I love you guys!!! Sorry if I misspelled any words its late, and I kept forgetting my camera so I have no pictures.

We didn't do much for Easter, other than think and thank the Lord for his love and sacrifice. The day before we went to the egg hunt on Old Main and it was so much fun. Faye was kind of scared and Alan loved it. I hope everyone had a good time. I'll try to post more often see ya.

Am I Crafty or What?

So Faye turned 1 about a 1 1/2 months ago. Since we have Alan and he outgrew his toddler carseat, it was Fayes turn to use it. Our carseat was black and it got really hot in the summer, so I decided to take action. I went to JoAnns and found some really cute fabric, which by the way was free, the girl forgot to charge me for it and when I went back to fix the mistake, they told me not to worry about it. So after a many hours of hard work, I finally finished. Here it is, my creation. I didn't think I could do it, but after seeing the end result I feel like I can do anything! I just hope it lasts until its time to get another carseat.

Wow!!! 1 Year Old!

I haven't posted for like a month and I'm like a week late, but here it is. My baby girl just turned 1 last week on Wednesday. We have a play group @ church and I made some cupcakes to share with the other kids. On Saturday we planned to have a dinner and cake with some friends. So we started the day cleaning and then we went to have our taxes done. By the time we got back home it was time for Faye's nap so we gave her lunch and let her play thinking our friends should be here any minute. Two hours later there was a knock at the door and it was our friends. Faye was sleeping. So we had dinner and cake and they were gone. My poor little baby missed her own party. I have no pictures of her on that day, but hear are some of the past year as she grows. I can not believe its been a year. They grow up so fast. Time should stop when they are around 18 mths. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!!!
